Recognized by the American Council for Construction Education (ACCE), the Building Construction (BC) program emphasizes the commercial aspects and methodologies of creating, overseeing, assembling, and evaluating structures, covering their operations, financial aspects, energy consumption, and environmental impact. The BC degree pathways aim to provide construction professionals with essential skills for outstanding performance across all stages of the built environment. This program integrates business principles, management strategies, scientific knowledge, and operational effectiveness throughout every stage - from initial planning and financing to design, cost estimation, material acquisition, project scheduling, actual construction, and facility maintenance - shaping how our future communities will be developed and inhabited.
All undergraduate program tracks start with a shared three-semester foundational curriculum. This science-oriented core meets ACCE accreditation standards while establishing fundamental knowledge. Every specialization incorporates leadership development, interpersonal communication abilities, entrepreneurial thinking, and modern management approaches to ready students for future industry demands. After finishing the comprehensive four-year, 134-credit program, graduates earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction.
