Our goal is to equip you for a profession in forensic science, whether in public or private labs, or for pursuing advanced academic studies. Through our FEPAC-certified curriculum, you'll gain comprehensive knowledge in specialized areas such as drug testing, DNA examination, trace evidence analysis, criminalistics, and legal matters. The program places heavy focus on practical lab work, giving students extensive hands-on training before graduation. For instance, multiple mandatory lab sessions are conducted at the Virginia Department of Forensic Science Lab, recognized nationally by the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors. This intensive two-year program offers flexible scheduling, with required and optional courses available during daytime and evening hours throughout the week, tailored to your chosen specialization.
