The Master of Theology (Th.M.) is a globally acknowledged postgraduate degree designed for individuals holding a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or similar initial theological qualification. It allows students to enhance their expertise in a specialized ministry-related field or better prepare for doctoral studies.
Vanderbilt Divinity School's Th.M. program consists of 30 credit hours tailored to each student's professional goals and chosen academic discipline. This degree equips learners to craft significant research inquiries, employ thorough methodologies, and ultimately generate innovative perspectives within their selected theological specialization.
The initial application cutoff is January 15th, with subsequent reviews for submissions received until April 1st. Applications continue to be accepted on a rolling basis until June 1st. Prospective students must specify a Vanderbilt Divinity School faculty member they intend to work with in their chosen area of study.
