Enhance the well-being of children and adolescents with disabilities through the country's leading special education graduate program, recognized as #1 by U.S. News & World Report. Vanderbilt's Department of Special Education pioneers transformative research, creates cutting-edge practices, and develops widely adopted methodologies.

During the Special Education master's program, you'll engage in hands-on fieldwork and research studies, work alongside faculty and peers on significant projects, attend interdisciplinary seminars with field experts, and guide undergraduate field placements. Given the current shortage of trained special education specialists, your tuition may be entirely covered by U.S. Department of Education funding opportunities.
