The Department of Spanish and Portuguese provides undergraduate degree options in Spanish as well as combined Spanish and Portuguese studies. Students can also pursue an interdisciplinary program combining Spanish with European studies.
Spanish ranks among Vanderbilt's most sought-after majors. With one of the broadest undergraduate course selections in Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian studies available in North America, Vanderbilt students actively engage with these diverse academic opportunities. Many department students pursue dual majors, blending their language and cultural studies with other academic disciplines.
All candidates for admission must present transcripts of work completed in high school.
