The Department of French and Italian provides undergraduate programs in French, French and European Studies, and Italian and European Studies, along with minor options in both languages. Learning French and Italian languages and cultures equips students with diverse career opportunities while fostering cross-cultural understanding.
Experienced professors instruct courses across all levels, including introductory classes. Numerous students engage in sanctioned study abroad initiatives in France and Italy via the Global Education Office. The department hosts multiple events such as guest lectures, film screenings, performances by French-speaking musicians, and academic conferences.
All candidates for admission must present transcripts of work completed in high school.
