The Gender and Sexuality Studies Department provides a cross-disciplinary program exploring how gender develops and interacts with other power structures, including sexuality, race, class, disability, nationality, faith, geography, and generation. We inspire learners to create innovative theoretical frameworks and reshape analytical methods across academic disciplines. Our courses and faculty specifically focus on how systemic inequities shape lived experiences. Through research, education, and advocacy, we aim to position gender and sexuality as fundamental rather than secondary analytical concepts. Our program equips students to both identify contemporary challenges and opportunities while preparing them to drive meaningful transformation.

By employing diverse approaches, Gender and Sexuality Studies students gain richer insights into the multifaceted nature of human existence. In both academic settings and research projects, we strive to revolutionize conventional knowledge systems by bridging theoretical and methodological boundaries to cultivate holistic, interdisciplinary understandings of societal dynamics.
