Valparaiso University's Master of Health Administration (MHA) equips students with the expertise and hands-on training needed to excel as leaders across diverse healthcare environments. Alumni pursue careers including hospital executives, health information system directors, long-term care facility administrators, healthcare supervisors, and other leadership roles.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), employment for medical and health services managers is expected to surge by 28% from 2021 through 2031. A health administration degree delivers the core competencies and foundational abilities for a rewarding professional journey.

Valpo's MHA curriculum develops students' analytical abilities to lead teams efficiently, enhance patient care protocols and clinical results, and thoughtfully address patient diversity while implementing their organization's healthcare policies.

Qualification Requirements

Official transcripts of all previous undergraduate and graduate work
An undergraduate GPA of 3.0, or, if below, five years of work experience in the field
Two letters of reference, at least one of which needs to be from an employer or academic adviser
An essay indicating reasons for studying health administration
A basic course in statistics is required, however, it may be taken during the course of the program
A non-native English speaker is required to have a minimum TOEFL (iBT version) 82 or IELTS 6.5.
