The Master of Natural Resources program equips professionals with advanced skills to evaluate intricate environmental challenges and effectively convey their findings. Graduates gain expertise to become leaders and progress in natural resource management roles. The curriculum emphasizes five key disciplines: Human Dimensions, Ecological Principles, Statistical Techniques, Data Systems, and Governance/Leadership.
Participants must complete three credit hours in each foundational area along with a culminating capstone project. This final undertaking stems from individual academic or professional focuses, showcasing the student's ability to integrate and implement the program's core competencies to address real-world conservation challenges. Students may enroll in 3-6 credits of NR 6600 integrative coursework, counting toward their degree requirements, depending on project scope.
The MNR degree also offers an accelerated pathway through specialized short-course offerings approved by the program.
