Located within the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business, the human resources master's program enables students to participate in practical projects that equip them for one of today's most rapidly expanding professions. HR professionals play a key role in strategically developing and executing systems for hiring, compensation, training, career development, and performance evaluation that maximize an organization's greatest resource - its workforce. This Master of Human Resources degree is offered both through an executive program available across Utah and online globally, as well as a traditional format. The executive track is specifically designed for employed professionals, allowing them to balance career commitments while pursuing their MHR degree.

Qualification Requirements

Students whose undergraduate degree is not in a business-related field must take an additional 10.5 credits of business acumen courses. Most of these courses can be completed during the summer as part of the Accelerated Business Core program. The classes can also be taken concurrently with the MHR program.
Professional program: Score at or above the 40th percentile on in the GRE, the GMAT or MAT
Have a 3.0 or higher GPA on your last 60 semester or 90 quarter credits
Provide transcripts of all college/university credits
Provide three contacts for letters of recommendation
Provide a resume to the department
IELTS score of 6.0 overall band score with a minimum of 5.0 on each subscale
TOEFL internet-based (iBT) exam score of 79 or paper-based exam score of 550.
