Students who earn the Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in General Technology can seamlessly transfer their credits, along with a 900-hour USTC certificate, into the Technology Systems Bachelor of Science (BS) program.
This program aims to support working professionals by providing flexible degree options that accommodate busy schedules while enabling career advancement. Even without a USTC certificate or AAS in General Technology, students may apply technical credits from Utah State University or other institutions, subject to advisor-approved course substitutions. Many Business, Engineering, and Outdoor Product students transition to Technology Systems to accelerate degree completion or overcome challenges in their current programs. The curriculum spans diverse focus areas, including business, marketing, manufacturing, CAD, robotics, controls, materials science, electronics, color theory, textiles, digital design, computer science, cybersecurity, networking, and automation.
This industry-aligned degree emphasizes practical training, covering Quality Management Systems, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, and Statistical Quality Control. These manufacturing-rooted courses, relevant across multiple disciplines, are developed with input from industry partners whose employees also enroll to strengthen their professional skills.
