The Interdisciplinary Studies major caters to students seeking a tailored academic path, a comprehensive educational foundation, and enhanced career versatility.
This major offers three distinct approaches to program development.
First, students can create a personalized curriculum by selecting courses from various disciplines that align with their professional aspirations.
Second, it enables the integration of multiple minors or certificates to better fulfill educational ambitions.

Third, it allows for merging course clusters from different majors or programs to create cross-disciplinary academic integration. These methods can also be combined. The Interdisciplinary Studies major provides adaptable learning opportunities that align with personal objectives and interests.
Students can pursue this major through six participating colleges: Agriculture, Caine College of the Arts, Education and Human Services, Natural Resources, Science, and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Official high school/secondary school transcripts with grades from the last three years with a minimum GPA of 2.7 or 660 total on the General Education Development (GED) exam (550 Battery Average prior to 2014). Some majors may have a higher GPA or GED requirement.
