Economics examines how choices are made and value is generated through exchange. An economics degree equips students with analytical skills to tackle complex policy problems using data-driven approaches.
This curriculum fulfills accreditation standards set by AACSB International (the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), the University of Wyoming, and the College of Business.
With department chair approval, students may replace 6 credits of 4000-level economics electives with relevant coursework in accounting, agricultural economics, business administration, history, political science, finance, mathematics, statistics, or legal studies.
The program offers significant flexibility for interdisciplinary specialization. Students can receive guidance in selecting upper-division courses tailored to pre-law studies, political economy, environmental and resource economics, gender studies, or international relations.
