Animal and veterinary science is an interactive degree program focused on meat-animal production and animal care. You'll explore topics ranging from animal biology and dietary needs to business strategies, food processing, chemistry, and microbial studies, allowing you to tailor your education to your professional goals.
While gaining essential scientific knowledge, you'll also engage in practical experiences like working with livestock, examining cattle through specialized techniques, or researching illnesses impacting Wyoming's animals and ecosystems.
The Animal and Veterinary Sciences (ANVS) program is a collaborative effort between the Animal Science and Veterinary Sciences departments, where expert faculty guide students through eight specialized focus areas.
