This undergraduate program provides initial teaching certification, awarding a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry Education with a dual major in Chemistry. It equips students to instruct Chemistry for middle and high school levels (grades 6-12).
Completion requires 120 credit hours minimum. All core courses demand a C grade or higher. Most upper-level education courses, including EDSE 4500 Teaching Residency, need a 2.75 minimum overall GPA from the university. Content area courses require at least a 2.50 GPA, with 42 credits minimum at the upper-division level.
