The Master of Science in Information Science and Technology (MSIST) is a graduate program designed for professionals pursuing advanced education to address the growing demand for skilled IT specialists. This 30-credit degree builds upon our Bachelor of Science in Information Science and Technology. The master's program in information science consists of 30 credit hours and complements our undergraduate Information Science & Technology degree. The MSIST offers professional graduate-level training for individuals looking to fulfill the rising need for qualified information technology experts.
The MSIST curriculum develops critical competencies in key domains:
Data science: Equips students with advanced capabilities for handling application-generated datasets.

An applicant must meet Graduate School requirements plus these departmental requirements to be considered for admission to the program:

A one to two page reason statement outlining your background and your educational and professional goals.
Preference will be given to those students who have a baccalaureate degree in information sciences, computer information systems, computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related field.
You must have attended this institution for at least one year and the degree was earned at an institution in the United States, and you have lived and worked continuously in the U.S since earning the degree. Cambridge English: Advanced / Cambridge English Proficiency C1 level or higher. TOEFL IBT (not Home Edition) - 79 120, IELTS - 6.5 9.0.
