The Master of Architecture, the initial professional degree provided by the Department of Architecture, holds accreditation from the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). This graduate program spans two to three years, with duration contingent on the candidate's prior academic experience. Students can choose from diverse coursework, with specialized focus areas including architectural design, sustainable practices, digital fabrication, historic preservation, urban planning, and socially responsive design. The curriculum prioritizes design studio classes, each led by faculty who also teach specialized subjects. An international study option enables participants to earn academic credit while exploring global architecture under faculty guidance, with destinations changing annually. Students are responsible for covering travel and accommodation expenses.
