The World Languages & Cultures Concentration (Option C) focuses on exploring cultural dimensions within international studies, investigating subjects like globalization and political systems through diverse viewpoints. Students take classes in Anthropology, Comparative Literature, English, Global Studies History, World Literature in Translation, Foreign Languages, and other elective disciplines. The International Studies (IS) program provides several specialized opportunities for students to expand their expertise in global affairs.

Qualification Requirements

All applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency in one of the following ways:
An approved test score that meets the requirement for regular or conditional admission.
University study: Completion of at least 18 months of full-time, for-credit academic study (approximately three semesters) at a recognized or accredited institution of higher education whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM.
Secondary/high school study: Proof of completion of the last two years of secondary/high school at an institution whose language of instruction is English immediately prior to enrollment at UWM. TOEFL IBT - 79 or higher, TOEFL PBT - 548 or higher, IELTS - 6.5
