Landscape architecture explores how professionals in design, planning, restoration, and preservation shape, protect, and oversee constructed and natural environments, along with indoor-outdoor connections, to foster vibrant societies and safeguard Earth's intricate ecosystems. This field integrates scientific, artistic, and humanistic approaches to address contemporary challenges in cultural and environmental stewardship, human wellness, and community growth.
The MSLA program delivers curriculum that imparts knowledge of the academic principles and concepts behind landscape design, conservation, rehabilitation, and administration. Learners apply this foundation to conduct cross-disciplinary research in urban, suburban, or wilderness contexts, producing a thesis that advances the academic framework of landscape architecture and/or informs professionals involved in landscape-related choices and care.
International applicants must have a degree comparable to a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree.
