Tailored to each student's academic background and teaching history, the program creates a customized plan emphasizing specialized research domains. Participants acquire hands-on instructional practice through private and group lessons for pre-college students, piano classes for both music majors and non-majors, and one-on-one instruction for advanced collegiate pianists. Those with substantial piano pedagogy training or teaching experience may waive foundational pedagogy requirements, instead taking higher-level pedagogy courses totaling 10 credits in this discipline.
