Exploring the connection between ceramic arts and modern artistic practices, theory, and critique, the Ceramics program provides a multifaceted approach to materials and techniques, focusing on work that demonstrates both technical mastery and conceptual variety. Through intensive study, students acquire knowledge of ceramic production's technical aspects like mold creation and clay/glaze formulation, while also cultivating the analytical and historical understanding needed to implement these techniques in completed artworks.

The ceramics workshop features an extensive range of materials and tools, including comprehensive raw materials for clay and glaze preparation, precision scales, experimental kilns, electric pottery wheels, extruding machines, rolling equipment, a professional spray booth, slip casting apparatus, and various updraft gas kilns alongside digitally-controlled electric kilns.
