Epidemiology is the field of science focused on analyzing how diseases spread and their underlying causes across different populations. It employs diverse approaches, from observational and experimental studies to statistical analysis, while examining pathogens, environmental influences, behavioral risks, and biological factors. Over time, epidemiological techniques have adapted to tackle global infectious disease outbreaks, age-related health complexities, and advancements in genetic research. As a cornerstone of public health, epidemiology delivers crucial insights for creating, executing, and evaluating strategies to prevent illness and enhance community well-being.
