The economics doctoral program provides comprehensive training in economic theory, analytical methods, and specialized disciplines. Department resources encompass faculty and student workspaces, an essential reference library, and dedicated computing facilities. With its moderate size, diverse faculty expertise, numerous research seminars, excellent infrastructure, and collaborative ties with other university departments, the program fosters an exceptionally conducive environment for academic pursuits. Collaborative learning is emphasized, with organized study groups for coursework and qualifying exams being commonplace. Currently, the department comprises about 35 faculty members and 140 graduate students, with all doctoral candidates receiving individual workstations. Annual social gatherings are jointly organized by the department and student body.
International applicants must have a degree comparable to a regionally accredited U.S. bachelor’s degree.
