As part of a lively and energetic university community, the School of Music boasts a proud legacy of equipping vocalists for diverse professional careers. Distinctive features of our vocal studies include weekly hour-long voice lessons for every major across all degree programs and academic years, an inclusive opera program available to vocal students at any stage of their education, opportunities to pursue dual majors that blend musical studies with other disciplines, and specialized Voice concentrations for Master of Music candidates enrolled in other music degree programs.

Qualification Requirements

A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or a comparable degree from an international institution is required.
A minimum undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on the equivalent of the last 60 semester hours (approximately two years of work) or a master's degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 is required. Applicants from an international institution must demonstrate strong academic achievement comparable to a 3.00 for an undergraduate or master's degree.
