Agricultural business management (ABM) students gain expertise in applying core business principles to agricultural and related sectors. The curriculum covers business fundamentals, financial and economic analysis, management techniques, food system structures, and commodity trading.

Administered by the Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics, the ABM program incorporates studies in agribusiness, economic theory, statistical methods, financial accounting, and organizational leadership. Students may enroll in select business school courses covering legal aspects, accounting basics, financial principles, and management essentials. The program teaches economic decision-making, business risk reduction strategies, and quantitative methods for market and price evaluation.

The department fosters practical application through research initiatives, self-directed studies, and faculty-mentored internships. In their senior year, students collaborate on comprehensive capstone projects while engaging with program graduates through special presentations.
