Jewish Studies offers a dynamic, cross-disciplinary approach to examining Jewish culture through multiple lenses, including history, political science, sociology, and the arts. This program welcomes students from all backgrounds, whether you're new to the subject or have prior experience, to pursue a major or certificate.

Through Jewish Studies, you'll investigate Jewish intellectual traditions, religious customs, languages, literary works, and community dynamics across different societies. The program enhances critical thinking, analytical reading, and persuasive writing skills while providing insight into Jewish resilience and cultural achievements throughout history.

As an interdisciplinary field, Jewish Studies complements numerous other academic programs. Students often combine it with majors or certificates in Art, Education, History, Music, Political Science, and more. The expansive scope of Jewish civilization also makes it an excellent pairing with regional studies programs focusing on Africa, Europe, the Middle East, or classical civilizations.
