The Master of Software Engineering (MSE) Program emphasizes mastering cutting-edge software development technologies through practical application, equipping students to tackle complex real-world challenges. This program helps participants develop both technical expertise and project management capabilities essential for leading and executing software initiatives.
Typically spanning two years, the MSE Program's duration reflects the timeline for full-time students completing all required UWL coursework without prerequisites. The program may extend for part-time students (with program approval) or to accommodate individual academic plans, research requirements, or capstone project timelines.
The student must have a bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, computer engineering or an equivalent major.
A bachelor’s or higher degree from UWL or another approved institution where English is the sole language of instruction may also fulfill this requirement.
Applicants for graduate study who are not native speakers of English must meet one of the following for admission:
Application deadline is May 1 of each year for fall semester and November 1 for spring semester.
