A Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CEP) is a medical specialist who creates scientifically-proven workout regimens for individuals managing long-term health conditions where physical activity has demonstrated therapeutic value. These patients may have heart disease, lung disorders, cancer recovery needs, metabolic issues, or other persistent illnesses.
The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse provides a globally-accredited Master of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology degree, equipping graduates to qualify for the ACSM's Clinical Exercise Physiologist certification test.
A bachelor’s or higher degree from UWL or another approved institution where English is the sole language of instruction may also fulfill this requirement.
