Explore your potential in theater arts through performance, direction, design, management, or backstage roles. Theater students develop versatile skills applicable to diverse careers outside performance. UWL's Theatre Arts program has earned national acclaim with numerous awards from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and the American College Theater Festival Irene Ryan Competition.
Theater arts brings stories to life through live performances before an audience, whether based on reality or imagination. This expansive field offers multiple pathways both onstage and offstage. UWL's Theatre Arts program provides specialized focus in six concentrations:
General theater studies
Design/technical production
Acting performance
Musical theater
Stage direction
Arts management
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
