The Mathematics & Statistics Department at UW-La Crosse supports a wide range of students. It fosters growth for all liberal arts scholars, equipping them with fundamental knowledge for exploring natural and social sciences while preparing them for professional pursuits. The program also focuses intensely on developing mathematics and statistics specialists.
Mathematics represents the systematic study of patterns and concepts. Applied mathematics focuses on practical mathematical techniques for science, technology, commerce, and industry. Nearly every field relies on mathematical or statistical analysis in some capacity. It forms a crucial component of liberal arts learning and serves as the base for numerous academic disciplines.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
