For over a century, UWL's Exercise and Sport Science Department has shaped professionals for these careers and similar fields. The program boasts global recognition, with students acquiring practical experience while collaborating with top researchers.
Every program participant receives guidance from a faculty advisor for academic and career planning. Students can specialize their studies in one of three concentrations: physical/adapted/school health education teaching, sports management, or exercise science. The exercise science track specifically equips students for fitness, health, and allied professions, offering either a fitness specialization or pre-professional pathway.
Exercise and sport science examines human movement in relation to physical activity and athletics. Research spans from cellular bodily functions to comprehensive sports activities that can serve as health-enhancing prescriptions and performance boosters.
