For those passionate about engaging with contemporary issues, influencing legislation, and creating meaningful change, political science could be an ideal academic path.
Earning a degree in political science opens doors to diverse career opportunities in government, consulting, policy development, corporate environments, political messaging, and charitable organizations. This education also equips students with essential knowledge for active civic participation and political engagement.
At UW-La Crosse, the Political Science department is committed to supporting both its students and the broader public. Faculty members push, guide, counsel, and assist learners as they explore internships, academic research, international studies, and hands-on educational experiences.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
