At UW-La Crosse, the Communication Studies Department emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical skill development, equipping graduates with exceptional capabilities in writing, public speaking, organization, and analytical reasoning.
Communication studies examines how humans exchange information. This expansive discipline encompasses both verbal and non-verbal interactions across diverse environments. Communication occurs through interpersonal exchanges, media channels, and cross-cultural contexts, manifesting in both public and private spheres.
Applicant must have completion of secondary or post-secondary from institution.
English Language Proficiency
Applicant must have TOEFL score of 73 with IELTS score of 6.0 and PTE score of 54. In addition completion of ELS level 112 and completion of WESLI level 700 is required.
Priority application deadlines are 15 December for the January/Spring semester and 15 July for the September/Fall semester.
