The Master of Science in Architecture/Design Technology program enables architects, engineers, and qualified professionals to conduct advanced research in areas such as computational design, building performance modeling, sustainable systems, high-performance structures, fabrication technologies, structural engineering, life cycle assessment, food-water-energy systems, and related fields.

The primary goal of this Master of Science degree is to offer rigorous graduate-level education to those holding bachelor's or professional degrees in architecture or similar disciplines, enhancing their intellectual, professional, and technical skills. Initially launched in 2001 as the MS in Architecture with a Design Computing focus, the program was rebranded in 2020 as MS in Architecture with a Design Technology specialization. While computing remains a core research domain, the curriculum now encompasses broader architectural technologies to address evolving industry needs. The program specifically aims to develop students' expertise in computational methods and technical disciplines, preparing them for advanced professional roles, doctoral studies, or specialized practice within architecture and related fields.
