The Master of Public Health (MPH) program equips students with comprehensive academic training, hands-on experience, and interdisciplinary coursework to tackle modern public health challenges. Starting in the 2020-2021 academic year, the MPH curriculum features six foundational courses completed collectively by all first-year students. Additionally, students take specialized courses aligned with their chosen focus areas. The core curriculum emphasizes ethical considerations, health equity, global and community perspectives, effective communication, systems analysis, leadership development, teamwork, and the continuous cycle of translating research into practice.
This concentration offers a dual focus on general public health principles and specialized training in Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The program includes required coursework in occupational medicine, environmental health sciences, epidemiology, biostatistics, healthcare systems, and behavioral health. Participants must also fulfill a public health fieldwork requirement and produce a thesis based on original research. This degree pathway prepares graduates for diverse career paths in Occupational and Environmental Medicine, including clinical work, academic research, or public health implementation.
