The Master of Public Health (MPH) program equips students with comprehensive academic training, hands-on experience, and interdisciplinary learning to tackle contemporary public health issues. Starting in the 2020-2021 academic year, the MPH curriculum will feature six foundational courses completed collectively by all first-year students. Additionally, students will take specialized courses aligned with their chosen concentration. The core curriculum emphasizes ethical considerations, health equity, global and local viewpoints, effective communication, systems analysis, leadership development, teamwork, and the translation of research into practice.
To create lasting improvements in population health and wellbeing, the SBS Program will: generate and share knowledge in social and behavioral sciences for public health applications, develop skilled researchers in these fields, prepare competent public health professionals, teach students to collaborate with communities in applying research to policy development and program implementation, and train students to champion science-based policy solutions that enhance healthcare delivery. The SBS Program aims to serve diverse communities worldwide, including local populations and international settings, all composed of varied demographic groups.
