Our seven Master of Laws (LL.M.) programs concentrate on key, dynamic fields of advanced legal education. Tailored for both international legal professionals and U.S. graduates with a J.D., UW Law's LL.M. programs enable participants to enhance their expertise and broaden their skills. Offering six focused concentrations plus a flexible General LL.M. option, learners customize their curriculum to align with career goals and personal passions. After completing foundational courses, students explore diverse advanced electives spanning specialized industries and interdisciplinary subjects, with options to enroll in courses across UW's other schools.

Health law represents a rapidly developing specialty within legal practice. The Health Law LL.M. delivers a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education in U.S. healthcare legislation and policy, addressing emerging fields like digital health regulation, healthcare market dynamics, patient liability, medical ethics, healthcare workplace law, and public health program compliance. As the sole West Coast program of its kind, we provide exceptional learning experiences, practical placements, and research prospects. Instruction comes from renowned academics and practicing professionals who offer valuable insights and connections to Seattle's healthcare innovators such as PATH, Seattle Children's Hospital, and UW's medical network. We generally prefer LL.M. applicants to have had some professional work experience.

The Graduate School is temporarily accepting official test scores for both the Duolingo English Test and the TOEFL ITP Plus For China to assist international students with remote testing options. This policy is currently in effect through the autumn 2021 admission cycle (i.e., students enrolling in autumn 2021).
