The CHOICE Institute at the University of Washington School of Pharmacy equips students to shape health policy and enhance their research while exemplifying academic excellence. Our program provides a top-tier learning environment with actively involved classmates, professors, and graduates. With only four doctoral candidates admitted annually, we maintain a highly selective program that ensures unparalleled access to renowned faculty and intellectually stimulating peers. The University of Washington's unique campus layout brings together six health science fields in one location, fostering groundbreaking interdisciplinary partnerships. Located in Seattle's thriving biotech hub, The CHOICE Institute collaborates with prestigious organizations including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Fred Hutch, and the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation. Students and faculty across pharmacy, medicine, dentistry, nursing, social work, and public health enjoy privileged access to cutting-edge research and medical innovations.
Students with master’s degrees in related fields such as epidemiology, economics, statistics, or public health are encouraged to apply. Students with professional degrees in pharmacy, medicine, or a health-related field who have strong quantitative skills are also supported.
