Our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program features a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (PCNS) concentration designed for those pursuing advanced practice in caring for patients from infancy through young adulthood across all health conditions (from wellness to acute care). As a PCNS student, you'll develop specialized skills in direct patient care, nursing practice, and healthcare systems. The curriculum teaches you to integrate clinical expertise, education, research, leadership, and management into advanced nursing roles. Clinical nurse specialists enhance patient outcomes by offering expert guidance to nursing teams and driving enhancements in healthcare delivery systems.
An in-process or earned bachelor’s or master’s degree in nursing from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program (a nursing degree must be completed prior to beginning your program of study)
A minimum 3.0 GPA (on 4.0 scale) for the last 90 graded quarter credits
English Proficiency:
The Graduate School is temporarily accepting official test scores for both the Duolingo English Test and the TOEFL ITP Plus For China to assist international students with remote testing options. This policy is currently in effect through the autumn 2021 admission cycle (i.e., students enrolling in autumn 2021).
TOEFL iBT - Minimum Required Score (ELP Required): 80; Recommended Score (ELP Satisfied): 92 or higher
TOEFL pBT - Minimum Required Score: 500
Duolingo: Minimum Required Score (ELP Required): 105; Recommended Score (ELP Satisfied): 120 or higher
IELTS: Minimum Required Score 6.5
