The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) specialization in our Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) curriculum centers on delivering community-based primary care across all life stages, from pediatrics to geriatrics. This FNP pathway places significant emphasis on the wide-ranging, holistic training required for effective primary care delivery. Family Nurse Practitioners provide patient-centered care across various healthcare environments, serving diverse communities with particular attention to marginalized and at-risk groups. These advanced practice nurses focus on preventive healthcare while managing both short-term illnesses and ongoing health issues within family-centered care models.
