The Media and Communication Studies (MCS) program equips students with critical analysis and practical skills applicable across various fields and career paths. Graduates with an MCS degree gain the ability to thoughtfully examine issues of media access, usage, and regulation at local, national, and international scales. This interdisciplinary program blends practical media creation with comprehensive studies of communication theories and historical contexts, emphasizing themes of power dynamics, diversity, and social inequality. Students in MCS cultivate both the analytical thinking and technical abilities required for responsible, effective media engagement. The curriculum merges theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience through production labs, seminar discussions, and collaborative research initiatives with community partners.
