Community psychology focuses on analyzing societal issues and enhancing the welfare of individuals within their local environments. Although rooted in psychological principles, this discipline also incorporates concepts and methodologies from sociology, community building, environmental studies, health sciences, anthropology, cultural and artistic research, policy making, social services, and equity initiatives. By conducting community-based studies and interventions, professionals in this field generate insights that can guide policy decisions, social programs, support systems, and grassroots transformations.
Student must have a High School Qualification.
Due to limited testing availability from COVID-19, the UW will accept the Duolingo’s English Test for autumn 2021 applicants. A minimum score of 105 will be required for admission. The TOEFL iBT special home edition and the IELTS Indicator at home exam will also be accepted for 2021 international freshman applicants.
