The School of Computing conducts image analysis research across diverse fields, with particular emphasis on biological and medical studies while also making substantial contributions to growing disciplines like geosciences. Many projects involve interdisciplinary collaboration or national partnerships, offering students exceptional chances to gain wider perspectives on research methodologies and the dynamics of team-based scientific work. Each year, around 100 graduate students enroll, evenly distributed between the M.S. and Ph.D. tracks. The program maintains selective admission criteria, resulting in intense competition for available spots. Applicants are assessed holistically, considering both their academic achievements and research capabilities.
