The Master's program in Instructional Design and Educational Technology (IDET) is offered through the University of Utah's Department of Educational Psychology.
This program equips students with skills to assess, create, deliver, and assess technology-enhanced learning solutions for educational settings. Participants will explore both theoretical foundations of tech-assisted teaching and practical applications to enhance pedagogical effectiveness.
The instructional design (ID) curriculum focuses on developing competencies to assess learning requirements and design tailored educational systems that address specific objectives.
Through the educational technology (ET) coursework, students gain expertise in building digital learning platforms where technological tools effectively support and fulfill educational needs and outcomes.

A 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA in the undergraduate career, or otherwise demonstrable academic readiness for graduate-level studies
