Qualification Requirements
For admission into the Ph.D. program, applicants must have a master’s degree and 2-3 years of certified classroom teaching or comparable applied experience working with individuals with disabilities. In addition, an undergraduate and graduate cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above is required. However, a graduate GPA of 3.5 or above is recommended.
The Admissions Committee in the Department of Special Education will take a holistic approach to evaluating each applicant’s file by examining: GPA, test scores, letters of recommendation, applicant’s personal statement and work history. Additional information regarding application materials that must be submitted (e.g., letters of recommendation, personal statement) the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) General Test is a requirement for admission into the Master’s degree programs in the Department of Special Education.
Toefl Paper based minimum score 600, Computer Based - 250, Ielts minimum score 7,
Toefl Ibt minimum score - 90 (Reading 22, Listening 22, Speaking 23, Writing 23)
At least a 3.0 or higher undergraduate weighted mean GPA on a 4.0 scale
