The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) program equips students with advanced knowledge in educational leadership and policy theory and research. This curriculum is tailored for individuals pursuing careers as top-tier administrators, academic faculty, researchers, or policy analysts in educational institutions.
Participants can specialize in either K-12 or Higher Education pathways. The program covers subjects like leadership in education, organizational structures, policy development, and critical education studies. Students also undertake research methodology courses (both qualitative and quantitative) to prepare for a two-semester faculty-mentored research apprenticeship. The culminating dissertation involves original research on a student-selected topic.
The PhD program features distinguished scholar-educators who mentor students throughout their academic journey. The ELP department boasts numerous accomplished faculty with specialized knowledge spanning K-12 and higher education sectors.
