Each year, around 100 students join the graduate program, evenly distributed between the M.S. and PhD tracks. The School of Computing's M.S. program offers both thesis and non-thesis options, delivering thorough coursework and research training. Financial support is available to most graduate students through teaching assistantships, research assistantships, and fellowships. Due to our selective admissions process, competition for available spots is intense, with decisions based on academic achievements and research capabilities. The School of Computing conducts diverse image analysis research, particularly in biological and medical fields, while also exploring growing domains like geosciences. Many projects involve cross-disciplinary or national collaborations, giving students valuable exposure to research methodologies and the dynamics of team-based scientific work.
