The Mathematics Department aims to equip students with comprehensive mathematical knowledge, techniques, and analytical capabilities essential for graduate studies or mathematics-intensive professions. We offer both Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degrees, each establishing a robust mathematical foundation. The B.A. curriculum promotes language studies, while the B.S. program focuses on supplementary coursework in physical sciences and computer science.
Graduates from our undergraduate mathematics or applied mathematics programs will:
Show proficiency in employing algebraic, geometric, calculus, advanced reasoning, and statistical approaches to model and address practical challenges.
Apply mathematical logic and deductive reasoning to construct valid mathematical proofs.
Utilize computational resources to strengthen mathematical comprehension, tackle problems, and evaluate solution validity.
