The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art program guarantees students undertake focused study in visual arts and their historical development as a core component of a broad liberal arts education. Learners select a concentration area: either art history or studio art. An option exists to pursue dual specializations in both fields - interested students should consult their academic advisor for details. The B.A. requires completion of a minor in any chosen discipline.
Program Objectives
Graduates of the studio art undergraduate program will:
Show proficiency in both conceptual understanding and technical skills across various visual art forms.
Display professional readiness by compiling a portfolio (featuring either creative works or written samples), crafting a resume and artist statement, and situating their practice within relevant historical and contemporary frameworks.
