Faculty members in the Neurosciences and Neurological Disorders graduate program are continuously advancing our understanding through research on neurotransmission, sensory systems, nervous system development and plasticity, neurological disease mechanisms, and peripheral organ regulation. As one of four biomedical science programs at UT College of Medicine, this interdisciplinary program prepares students to become innovative, self-sufficient research scientists. Students can pursue Ph.D. or M.S. degrees, with options for combined M.D./Ph.D. or M.D./M.S.B.S. programs. The program features renowned, grant-supported faculty mentors from multiple departments including Neurosciences, Neurology, Physiology and Pharmacology, and Psychiatry. Students have access to cutting-edge laboratories and core facilities across these participating departments.
